Where we work

Our home base is Mechanicville, and most of our installs are a short drive away. We are regularly in Halfmoon, Clifton Park, Malta and Country Knolls, and we also travel to Clifton Knolls-Mill Creek, Cohoes, Troy, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs and Pittstown. If your street sits somewhere in between, ask when you phone. We will tell you plainly whether it fits our schedule.

The work is the same wherever you live. We walk the roofline with you, show you where the channel will run and where the power supply will sit, and settle the colors and scenes you will control from the app. On install day we keep tools off the lawn, protect walkways and entry floors if we need to reach an inside outlet, and take you through the app before we pack up. From an older home in Cohoes to a newer colonial in Malta, the finished run should look like it came with the house.

What we plan for across the area

  1. 01

    Housing age and trim

Homes around here range from older houses with wood fascia, layered paint and the odd uneven board to newer builds with aluminum drip edge and vinyl soffits. Older trim needs fasteners set into sound wood, and sometimes a small correction so the track reads as one straight line. Newer fascia usually takes a low-profile channel cleanly. We look closely at both before quoting, so the price reflects what is actually on your house.

  2. 02

    Winter weather

Snow load, ice and freeze-thaw cycles come every winter. We mount the track where sliding snow and ice are least likely to pull at it, seal each connection, and use sealed LED fixtures meant for outdoor cold, so the lights behave the same in January as they do in July.

  3. 03

    Gutters and rooflines

Many runs follow the gutter line. We keep the channel out of the water path, work around downspouts, and route wiring so it never blocks drainage or sits where it can be stepped on.

  4. 04

    HOA rules and permits

Some neighborhoods have association guidelines on exterior lighting, and town requirements differ across Saratoga, Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady counties. Mention any HOA rules when you call. We check what applies at your address and plan the layout and color settings around it.
